with his wife and four kids, and works in the heating and
air conditioning business. Recently Scott has been diagnosed
with multiple myeloma, a type of cancer which attacks the
antibody-producing immune system cells found in bone marrow.

HORSEMAN INTERVIEWS BRENN

CHRIS LEDOUX'S BAND WESTERN UNDERGROUND
FEATURES BRENN'S "ONE HAND IN THE RIGGIN'" ON
DEBUT ALBUM
Brenn's song One Hand In The Riggin has been
featured as the second track on Western Underground's recently
released debut album UNBRIDLED. Here's what Western Underground
has to say about the song: "This is a great rodeo song
that was written by Brenn Hill and Bruce Bouton. Chris was
a big fan of Brenn, who is a cowboy singer from Utah. He's
an extraordinary guy and an excellent writer. The song tells
a story that's familiar to most cowboys. He's short on money,
short on sleep, and short on time, but he'll do whatever
it takes to make it to that next rodeo." Brenn is very
pleased to have Western Underground perform One Hand
In The Riggin', which was originally released on Brenn's
ENDANGERED CD.

BRENN
HEADLINES BENEFIT CONCERT FOR CRANDALL CANYON MINERS
Brenn will be
headlining a benefit concert for the Crandall Canyon Miners
at the Emery High School auditorium in Castle Dale, Utah,
this Saturday, August 25, 2007. NBA star Shaun Bradley,
who grew up in Castle Dale, will emcee the event. Special
guests include Stampede, Stan Tixier, Jerry Brooks, and
more.
In announcing his involvement with the benefit concert,
Hill explained, My heart goes out to the good people
of Carbon and Emery counties here in Utah. The Crandall
Canyon Mine tragedy has literally hit home. The people of
this area are faithful and value their tradition of hard
work and honesty. It takes a lot of determination and grit
to be a coal miner. In honor of the six who remain trapped
inside the mine and the three rescuers who lost their lives,
I have accepted a request to be a part of a benefit concert
that will be held this Saturday, August 25th, at Emery High
School in Castle Dale. You can find out more by calling
Neal Early, the benefit organizer, at (801) 814-0478. If
you can make it, we'd love to see you there.
Emery High School is located at 975 North Spartan Center
Street in Castle Dale. Tickets will be $15.00 at the door.
The concert starts at 7:00pm, but attendees are encouraged
to come early and enter the raffles for many great gifts.
All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to the Zions
Bank Crandall Canyon Donation Accounts.
Those who cannot attend the concert can still make a donation
to either the Crandall Canyon Family Support Donation Account
or the Crandall Canyon Rescue Worker Donation Account at
any Zions Bank branch or by calling (888) 788-1099 to make
a credit card donation over the phone. Donations can also
be mailed to the Huntington branch of Zions Bank at P.O.
Box 60, Huntington, UT 84528. Both accounts will be handled
by the mayor of Huntington and all funds will distributed
appropriately to the victims' families.

AMERICAN
COWBOY PRAISES WHAT A MANS GOT TO DO
Here's what
American Cowboy has to say about Brenn's latest CD
in the magazines September/October/07 issue:
Songwriter/singer/musician Brenn Hill has been among the
brightest names in Western music for the past several years,
and this latest effort looks to be his best ever. The opening
song, Meet Me In McCall, sets the tone confident,
wide-ranging, strong on production values and considerably
more polished than the fare one gets from many Western independent
labels. Caffeine is a high-energy, bluesy tune devoted
to the subject of java and getting down the highway. Oakbrush
is one of the best songs on the album, a bluegrassy number
with compelling, amusing lyrics. What you have to like about
Brenn Hill is his honesty and his devotion to the West.
He is skilled as a lyricist as well as a composer, and it
is surprising that more of his songs are not being covered
by other artists, but that likely will change. -Jesse Mullins,
Jr.

NEW MUSIC NOW AVAILABLE!
WHAT A MANS GOT TO DO, Brenns sixth CD,
is now available here. Like Brenns
previous albums, WHAT A MANS GOT TO DO contains songs
that speak boldly of life in the modern mountain west, songs
punctuated by crisp cinematic imagery and underscored by
confident melodies. But while the central themes present
in Hills other CDs are once again apparent in his
new material, WHAT A MANS GOT TO DO reveals a new
maturity in Brenns songwriting as he offers his deepest
exploration yet of the core values of the cowboy.
